Some time in May 2022, one of the funder EGK centrum, sent a group of young men to the Gemeente office for duursame banen. They were about 10 in number, they were all rejected because their language was not good enough. That triggered one of the founders curiosity, such that he said something has to be done to help this high motivated men and women to benefit from the Energy transition agenda 2040.
The question answer we realised that some group are completely involve in the transition, especially the minority and African migrant. This lead to the for project idea to train people form African origin how to install solar panel. It further lead to the realisation that the energy transition more than change our energy grid for heat our home, warming our water, and how we cook, but it is about a complete reign change that will affect they way know our society and personal life today.
The shock part of it all is that some group of people are not aware of these development and it is impact, especially the African community in Zuidoost. Therefor EGK centre was born, a place for information and empowerment for the community. Because we believe that you may lack information today and can survival, but if you do have the right information today, you not be part tomorrow. Especially in this jet age and AI era.
